“Sir, I have the honour to inform you that I propose to kill a stag, or a salmon as the case may be, on your ground between midnight on…and midnight…”
John Buchan’s 1925 novel “John Macnab” set the scene for one of the most sporting outdoor challenges available. Following the classic Macnab, guests must catch a salmon, stalk a stag and shoot a brace of grouse all in the same day. Attempting a Macnab is available at Glenprosen and Kercock throughout August and September. Previous successful “Macnabbers” from around the world have represented the estate at the annual Field Macnab Challenge dinner in London.
